The Rope Rescue Operator, (OPS) course introduces the knowledge and skills required by personnel to operate safely and effectively during rope rescues and be an active part of a rope rescue team working under the supervision of Certified Rope Rescue Instructor & Technicians.

Classes begin promptly at 8 am and may end at 5 pm.  It really depends on you and the makeup of our class.  Jerome is a small town and lunch spots are typically packed.  Your one hour lunch may not cover the time it will take you to be seated, order, eat then walk back to the fire station.  For that reason, we ask that you pack your lunch so that we may effectively spend more time on your training for Ops certification.

The Ops class costs $150 for the 3 days of training.  If you wish, you may pay another $150 and take the Rope Technician class the following Friday, Saturday & Sunday, September 19, 20 & 21.

• Type III Harness
• Rock/Rescue Helmet
• Gloves & Boots
• Descending Device
• Personal Purcell Set
• Travel Restrict Kit or AZ TEC Kit
• Long pants or coveralls suggested
• Remember to pack additional clothing for layering
