Like a number of families all over the USA, the 4th of July is a special holiday. We celebrate our Independence in a number of different ways. In the town of Jerome, we ask that you do not set off ANY FIREWORKS at any time. It’s actually in our town code, and rightfully so, as conditions for wildfire in this area are now considered extreme. The moisture level in fuels are at a very low point. When you take into account the available fuels, combined with low relative humidity and hot temperatures, the last thing we need is a spark, any type of flame, that may ignite and catch fire.
We ask that you just take a moment and familiarize yourself with all of the things that Stage II Fire Restrictions mean. Also, if you are planning to go camping in cooler country this weekend, use this link to find out what the restrictions are in the area you wish to camp in. You may find out that they are Closed to any camping activity, or at the very least, are in Stage II Fire Restrictions meaning, NO CAMPFIRES!
